Ben Firth - Pitch Golf

PGA Pro
Ben Firth

About Ben:

Former Sunshine Tour professional and active PGA competitor, Ben Firth joined Pitch Manchester in 2025, bringing a wealth of tour-level experience to golfers of all abilities. After turning professional off +5, Ben earned full playing status on the Sunshine Tour, where he spent four years competing internationally.

Throughout his career, Ben has worked closely with some of the UK’s leading coaches and performance specialists. His stats-driven approach to improvement was shaped during time spent helping Matt Fitzpatrick develop his personal statistics system alongside Steve Robinson. Ben has also worked with top physiotherapist Paul Farquharson, part of the team behind Danny Willett’s 2016 Masters victory, and most recently with Mike Murray, who works alongside Marco Penge. This elite-level exposure gives Ben’s coaching a unique depth – blending tour knowledge with a performance team mindset.

Ben is also passionate about physical performance in golf – focusing on understanding body movement to help players avoid injury while maximising speed and power. He regularly runs speed and distance clinics with Luke Curtis, European Long Drive Champion, and has hosted numerous golf days and performance clinics for players and corporate groups across the UK.

Alongside his coaching and playing, Ben has become a recognised voice in golf media – testing and reviewing over 100 pieces of equipment in the past year for Golfalot and appearing regularly on their YouTube channel. His on-camera experience allows him to communicate complex ideas clearly, making tour-level insights accessible to every golfer.

Since joining Pitch, Ben has built a reputation as a dynamic and approachable coach, working with everyone from complete beginners to tournament professionals. His coaching philosophy is simple: create clear, measurable performance improvements that hold up under pressure.

Away from the studio, Ben continues to compete on the PGA circuit with the ambition of one day making it onto the DP World Tour. His playing record includes multiple professional wins, victories in Open Regional Qualifying, and reaching the Final Stage of DP World Tour Q School.

In addition to individual lessons, Ben also offers tailored playing lessons, short game performance days, and bespoke corporate clinics, bringing a unique tour-player insight to every session.
